Thus it expresses an inverse relationship between price and demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, at Rs 70 per kg consumer may demand 2 kg of apple. On the other hand, the price rises to 100\/- per kg then he may demand 1 kg of apple<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Assumption of Law of Demand<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No change in the income<\/li><li>No change in size population<\/li><li>No change in price of related goods<\/li><li>No change in consumers taste, preferences, etc<\/li><li>No expectation of a price change in future<\/li><li>No change in climate conditions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Given these assumption, the law of demand is explained in the below table \u2013&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>price<\/td><td>Quantity demanded<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>10<\/td><td>10<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>8<\/td><td>20<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>6<\/td><td>30<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>4<\/td><td>40<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>2<\/td><td>50<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/9Dcj6oMZ17iX6_pk9nkdOPJIfroGI260mNCyxl7fen6rkZEf6FjcXsYZ4TwDxkCckr2AmqojK3_cHmp-v9gm5hGhGOopxeiKd3-RrFwXRsbcoW3iFUf79rBetIldyZsJ5BDRGV9F\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The above table shows that when the price of apples is Rs. 10 per kg, 10 kg&nbsp; are de\u00admanded. If the price falls to Rs.8, the demand increases to 20 kg. Similarly, when the price declines to Rs 2, the demand increases to 50 kg.
