However the materials forms products   like starch, cellulose, and polyesters. Aliphatic <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Polyester\">polyesters<\/a> are the most commonly used polymers in this type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition ,a polymer which can be converted to harmless gaseous products by action of biological enzyme and water, is called biodegradable polymers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore ,3 components are important in the biodegradation of organic polymers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A)&nbsp; &nbsp; The Organisms: &#8211; for instance, pseudomonas, bacillus, protozoa, acetobacter, various fungi, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>B) &nbsp; &nbsp; Our Environment: &#8211; above all suitable temperature , moist condition, presence of salts, suitable ph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C) &nbsp; In addition Nature of polymer: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>&nbsp; 1.&nbsp;Therefore  Polymer chains should contain bonds which can undergo hydrolyses or oxidized by the enzyme action o, s.<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp; In addition, they are highly  aromatic they are tough for degradation&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp; Similarly, Hydrophilic end groups, and Hydrophilic chain backbone of the polymer contains O, N,3. atoms that  easily degrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp; Therefore More amorphous is the nature of polymer that is require<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp; In conclusion, the small size of polymer material<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Example: &#8211; PHBV<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words,&nbsp;It is a co \u2013 polymer of hydroxy butyric acid and 3 hydroxy valeric acid. It is produceable by fermentation of glucose by alcaligenes eutrophus species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/xOuK1kzFvWS5Xt06wcqVE2kVyeXNGhQC4NMgps_YrEB4nZGdqICL_X6JyoCpdSy2U__Fmikpiik8cq9vcZt4rwjiSsyls5J8fQM4i8OYeAZliuOVbY_IaDjWMW3JBpACuruFoq7u=s0\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;Structure of Biodegradable polymers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/FasTD0DhIsVrueM2PshO4ejg1qVuVcwpzb9QEnEYUttSMnNcsZ3QhzfXd2opPwmZdpkjjVWCKbk-sRls8sBaqhlYnCkIxFiDOiJKk_tsSHTPv5TKpcr2q6IrAgHfVK7QxDYwiFD8=s0\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nylon 2\u2013nylon 6:- In other words, It is a polyamide copolymerisation of glycine (H2N\u2212CH2\u2212COOH) and aminocaproic acid (H2N\u2212(CH2)5\u2212COOH).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polyhydroxy butyrate (PHB):- It is formed by the reduction of the hydroxybutyric acid (3-hydroxy butanoic acid) molecules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Properties: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 Soluble in chloroform and are highly crystalline. The polymer has melting point 180\u00b0 c, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>it is a thermo softening compounds, in addition soft, and  flexible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Limitations: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;Therefore such polymers are very costly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Not useful to manufacture on a  large scale<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Don\u2019t have high mechanical strength<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications: &#8211;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7compounds are therefore  useful for moulding articles and other purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 &nbsp; Polymers are useful for films for packaging and lamination <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7 Biodegradable polymers are applicable in the medical field \u2013 for organ transplants, surgical, and orthopaedic operations.\u00b7 \u00a0In addition useful in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportic.esquel.org.ec\/\">https:\/\/www.sportic.esquel.org.ec\/<\/a> agriculture field \u2013 for preparing fertilizers and pesticides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interested in learning about similar topics?
