I.e. a position of station point.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The position of the plane table at any station should be the same as that previous station.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Part-1 Explain Plane Table Surveying &amp;  Radiation Method In Hindi\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tn5nxOQfV9U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Setting up of plane table:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While using plane table the following are needed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fixing table<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Centering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leveling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orientation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sighting the objects<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Methods of plane table surveying:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Radiation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Intersection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Traversing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>resection<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Merits:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is rapid and suitable for small scale maps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since one carries out field work and plotting work simultaneously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The surveyor can compare the plotting work with the actual features of the area<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One requires no greater skill to pre[pare satisfactory map.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is most suitable for the areas where the comparison survey cannot be done due to local attraction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is less costly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Therefore check lines defects the errors of measurement and plotting on the field itself.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lastly the office work consists of only finishing drawings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Demerits:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Firstly it is unsuitable for work in wet climate and in high wind.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is inconvenient to replot the survey to different scales and to compute the quantities when proper field notes are not available.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is only suitable for open country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One does not intend for greater accuracy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instrument is heavy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Number of accessories are to be carried and losses may get lost.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interested in learning about similar topics?
