Polling for the Bihar Assembly elections will take place in two phases, on November 6 and 11. The election commission of India made the announcement this afternoon. Counting of votes will take place on November 14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that preparations aim to ensure a smooth and secure voting experience, with 1,044 polling stations being managed https:\/\/flash.tas.edu.pk\/<\/a> exclusively by women. Efforts will be made to counter fake news on social media, and the Commission has pledged zero tolerance for voter intimidation and violence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kumar underscored that the cooperation of political parties, voters, and the media will be crucial for peaceful and transparent elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This election follows the Commission\u2019s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, which saw 68.5 lakh voters removed and 21.5 lakh new names added. The updated voter list, post-nomination, will be final. <\/p>http:\/\/revoltasurbanas.medialabufrj.net\/<\/a>\n\n\n\n

In a bid to facilitate smoother polling, no station will have more than 1,200 voters, and booth-level officials will now have identity cards for easy identification. Voters must deposit mobile phones outside voting booths, and 100% webcasting will be implemented at every station to enhance transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Significant updates have been made to the design and clarity of EVM ballot papers, under revised guidelines of Rule 49B. Ballot papers will now feature colour photographs of candidates, with faces occupying three-fourths of the allotted space for improved visibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serial numbers, including those for the NOTA option, will appear in bold, large numerals. The upcoming Bihar polls will be the first to implement these changes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main electoral contest is expected between the ruling NDA, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the Mahagathbandhan, headed by Tejashwi Yadav\u2019s RJD. In the outgoing 243-member assembly, the NDA holds 131 seats while the Mahagathbandhan controls 111. With the https:\/\/sis.iuea.ac.ug\/<\/a> announcement of the poll schedule, political campaigns are set to intensify across the state as election code of conduct is now in place in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
